"Excellent location for access to the heart of Valletta. Gorgeous terrace for pre dinner drinks. Great breakfast with a large selection to choose from and other extras. The team onsite were all very engaging and polite without being intrusive."

"Don't let the location fool you. Strait Street is a typical Malta alley-looking road, lined with bars, restaurants and other hotels. Once inside you'll be pleased with your room and the cafe. I had a very large patio with a jacuzzi, the room had been recently renovated with lovely, bright colors, and the large bathroom had also been recently renovated. The location is great. The only drawback was accessing the property. Make sure to get the code for the front door before you leave on your trip."

"The place was well located within easy reach of all very good restaurants. It was a just a quick walk to the city center. I asked for the hotel to provide a taxi transport to the hotel late in the evening when we reached Malta. Luigi who services the hotel was extremely good and extremely helpful. Typically the front door has a code, but when we got there, someone was there till 10pm. The hotel should inform the traveller of this fact as I did not get the code sent until I asked for within the 24 hours of arrival. Otherwise the hotel was very responsive. It was very clean, although it was an old place. That added to the charm. The breakfast was adequate. The view of the classic room that we got was not that great. Generally a very good stay that we enjoyed. The staff was very helpful and great."

"Capitals location is nicely located near the center of Valletta with restaurants and bars and shops just a street or so over. Quiet area tho which makes it good for some peaceful vacation time. Breakfast is supreme indeed!!! Staff are very pleasant and engaging and will do whatever they need to meet your needs. Rooms are spacious! Hotel is smaller than I expected with about 4 rooms per floor. Rooftop has a relax area and splash pool, with tables and a bar for evenings cocktails and a pleasant group of bartenders taking good care of their guests. This rooftop area is NOT TO BE MISSED as it provides essentials evening sky and cityscape views. Highly recommended."

"A great boutique hotel in a really good location. Not too far to the central attractions but far enough to avoid any issues with bar noise,etc. The staff were tremendously helpful and dedicated to helping wherever they could."

"This is our second stay at The Cumberland and it was as wonderful as our first. This was a very late booking as we needed a single night stay due to a flight cancellation in nearby Sicily. We arrived late at night and the room was perfectly clean and a very welcome relief after an extremely stressful day, the check in staff were delightful and then the breakfast the following morning was just what we needed. We will of course return!"
