This was a very intersting place with a great concept. Staff were friendly. I stayed alone and the parking situation seemed extremely unsafe, you must head to the back alley and push the button to open the gate, meanwhile houseless folks are all around, who could easily hop in your vehicle and drive it away while you were pressing the gate open. Not a great area. Not for a single woman. The actual parking garage was difficult to navigate.

Like most of the Burrard's younger clientele, I didn't spend much of my time there. The city beckons. The Burrard is in the heart of downtown Vancouver, within steps of the restaurants and entertainment that attract visitors. The Burrard is a no frills, modern property oriented toward young people that provides a pleasant place to sleep. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful when I needed recommendations for when I wanted snacks and later a meal (the hotel itself lacks both). Both were literally within a half block. I loved the "got better things to do" vibe of the place because I did have other things I was doing. If you want old-style amenities and luxury, then go to the Parker.
