"This host needs to make 3 major changes!
1. Update your hours of operation with Online Travel Agency (OTA)'s.
2. STOP taking people's money before verifying if they can fulfill they're promise to provide lodging. (If you can take time to send an email to change the hours of your operation than you could have emailed me the code to gain entry after taking my money, thus avoiding a unsatisfied customer).
3. Make themselves available to their guests, especially in cases of emergency. Even Expedia couldn't make contact with this host. "Free phone in lobby" simply was not present and "phone numbers provided were out of service.
After other guests tried helping us at the hotel, there was a general consensus this property had much to offer but was poorly managed. All our other stays in Iceland were idyllic and ranged from campgrounds, to hostels, to high-end hotels. At the very least this host could have some consideration for their neighbors who, I unfortunately had to wake up to ask permission to stay in their parking lot overnight, as they were sold out. Much appreciation to the kind lady at Drangshlid Hotel. I will book with them next time in the area!"
