We stayed in the Tabacon Spa before this place and considering you could stay here for circa 6 nights for the price of the spa, this is incredible value. AC worked great, daily room clean ensure a very clean facility inside and out, and very helpful and pleasant staff. We booked the couples massage also via the hotel menu and they come to your own chalet and both people were expert and very charming, it was another highlight and again good value at circa 50% of the price you pay at the spas or back in North America. Highly recommended place for couples and families. "

"Pros: Hot Springs, Good meals with two restaurants, breakfast included; very nice staff Cons: Treehouse was awful to stay in and definitely not worth the money; very outdated, tons of bugs everywhere; it was like staying in a tiny cabin infested with bugs. So disappointing. :("

"Hotel Sanctuarium is truly a sanctuary. The property is grand and meticulously cared for. Surrounded by tropical jungles, views of the mountains and the valley below, it was by far the best place to stay for our trip to La Fortuna. And it is only a 7 minute drive to the heart of downtown. There is a restaurant on site with exquisite food. Perfect after a long day of activities so we didn’t have to venture back into town every night to find somewhere to eat. They cater to any specific dietary needs. The rooms are big and immaculate. They each have their own wall of windows that open to a large patio where you can sit and view the jungle covered mountains or the vast valley below. From the time we booked (even before we arrived) the staff was so attentive and helpful in getting our excursions arranged, along with transportation. Genesis, Johan, Kevin, Kevin A, Fabiola, Yeraldin, and Dayana pampered us at every turn, delivering drinks and food to us wherever we happened to be on the property. They answered a multitude of questions and showed us around the sanctuary. The staff were all fluent in English so it was easy to communicate but they also welcomed my efforts to speak Spanish. I highly recommend this hotel. It was a truly wonderful experience. Thank you Hotel Sanctuarium for making our stay perfect!"
