We really enjoy our stay in this hotel. Well located, clean, beautifully decorated, pretty close to the main attractions, though a little far from the train station. I highly recommend this place to stay!
The property was lovely, very beautiful. Quiet area and great airconditioning. Beds were comfortable and clean, the added touches of coffee and snacks were appreciated as is the large fridge.
Unexpected bonus of a small outside space.
Would recommend. Stayed as a family of 4.
Fantastic room, very spacious, air conditioning, coffee/tea and some breakfast available. Fridge with water.
Check in very easy at Hotel Armando nearby with very nice staff.
I’d definitely come back if returning to Verona.
Bad value for money and stingy staff
Place is ok but windowless and dark, AC in bedroom insufficient.
Front desk stingy as she denied a simple piece of cake telling us it is for guests checking in - after paying more than 200 $ for a night.
Avoid!
Easy check-in, very friendly and helpful staff. Close to everything we wanted to see. Easy walking distances and bus stop was nearby. Lots of good places to eat nearby also.
The person for check in was exceptional! She walked us to our room, gave us dining recommendation and was very helpful in getting us information on local sites. The room is clean and spacious and everything is easily walkable. Overall great place!
A very clean room in a great location! The building was charming and our room had a little balcony which was a delight to sit on with a glass of vino. I would recommend staying here, and would return again!
The apartment was beautiful and clean. Loved that they kept a lot of the original features but was also very modern. Very comfortable bed, plenty of room for 3 guests. Would definitely stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel is clean. The front desk staff is friendly and polite. Transportation is convenient, making it easy to get around. However, the fact that the front desk and room rates are separate is inconvenient.
Check in with Jenny was quick and efficient, she was kind and help. That night we had a problem with our ac and at 2 am they were able to come and fix it right away. Overall great stay and yummy breakfast option in the morning.
The apartment itself is pristine! A few bottles in the fridge and jams etc in the kitchen also has a kettle and toaster. Really quiet area but walking distance to all places of interest. Staff at the nearby hotel where you check in and out are the friendliest and most helpful we have had on our trip. Highly recommend and just wish we had been there a bit longer.
This is a lovely, comfortable apartment. It is on the ground floor which made it easily accessible. However, there are no windows except in the bedroom and they are high up, so no natural light in the living room dining area.
The location was great for me as I enjoy walking and exploring.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Excellent stock of amenities in the room! Cookies, jams, coffee, etc.
Comfortable beds! Very roomy!
A/C could use an uograde or place a fan in the room to mane it more comfortable
Check in at the seperate hotel was unusual but they were friendly and showed me to the room. Good staff at the Armando. Very friendly.
Inside Verona design they were doing work on the building that the rooms reside in. Never seen something so dangerous. Carpet and plastic wrap all over the stairs, paint everywhere. Trip hazard trying to get to the room. Shocking the state the building the rooms were in.
However, once inside the room it was very nice and tasteful. Once the work has been completed outside in the outer building, this would score much higher from me.
Ithaca Design is an annex to a hotel: Best Western Hotel Armando, Via Dietro Pallone, 1, 37121 Verona VR, Italy. It's presumably cheaper than the hotel itself. It consists of a few rooms in an apartment building. It is a short distance away from the hotel itself, just a few minutes' walk. You check in at the hotel and the clerk gives you a key card which opens the front door to the building, the door to the rooms (1 flight of stairs up), and your own room. The desk clerk came with me to show me how it works, and even helped me carry my heavy suitcase up the stairs. They don't come in every day to make the bed; you do that yourself after the first day. Some people would want bed-making and fresh towels every day, but I didn't mind. The location is very convenient: a short walk to the historic center of Verona and to many of the university buildings.
