"The maintenance, the staff, the breakfast, the rooms themselves and everything was well kept and neat. The hotel itself you can tell hasnt seen renovations since like the 90s. The rate for the night seemed high for what the whole experience was like."

"Front desk staff Alena was super helpful! The staff cooking the omelettes and the staff managing breakfast were wonderful. Roomkeepers were efficient. The biggest issues were baby squeals echoing from the center gathering space until late and late night door slams from neighbors, and that is a design issue. The staff was fantastic."

"The Victor Hotel is an amazing historic property with modern, comfortable rooms. Even the new carpet has a soft, comforting bounce to it. The lobby has older furniture, so you feel like you're walking back in time upon entering the hotel. Self check-in is via codes sent by text message. Victor itself is fascinating, and only a short distance from all the busy action in Cripple Creek. It's a peaceful and beautiful place."

"The pool is not heated and was full of floating leaves but that wasn't a huge problem. With the economy as it is, I go for lower price rooms. You get what you pay for - the room has some flaws but I'm not that picky. It was clean and that's all I need. Staff was friendly. Parking easy and close. Breakfast good."

"Unique property as it is older but kept up. Some of the furniture was well used but still functional, added character for the vintage vibe. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Did not try the onsite restaurant, very walkable to other restaurants and some shopping. Beautiful views of the mountains. Would stay there again."
