My stay at the Hilton Doubletree Oceanfront Virginia Beach was wonderful. The location was great, lots of amenities, and my room was clean and updated. I’d like to also thank Kaitlyn, the assistant general manager, for her exceptional efforts to reunite me with some items that I inadvertently left behind during my short stay.

I liked the comfort of staying in a Hilton property which is always nice and comfortable. We had dinner one night at the restaurant next door which was fun and great! I wasn't really crazy about the parking lot we had to use and pay $15/night to park there. This was off season, free parking would make more sense.

I liked the beach view from my room and balcony. I liked the that I could sit on the balcony overlooking the boardwalk and beach. I liked the easy access to the beach and restaurant at the hotel. Overall a pleasant experience just didn’t like the funky hotel smell but room was clean.

This is usually our go-to hotel in Virginia Beach, but this stay was disappointing. The room next door had 10+ people partying loudly until after 2 a.m., with noise spilling onto balconies and continuing until nearly 3 a.m. While it was New Year’s Eve, there was little enforcement of noise or guest policies. The hotel normally uses wristbands to identify guests, but that didn’t seem to be enforced this time. The room was also less clean than we’ve experienced before. If you’re looking to party, this may be a good choice, but families or anyone hoping to relax should be cautious during holiday weekends.
