"I did not use the pool and the air conditioner worked fine it was kind of loud but it worked good"

"Very clean. Bed was firm. Pillows were horrible and extremely firm. Room was tiny but fairly well put together. Housekeeping ignored the Do Not Disturb tag hanging on my door and cleaned my room when I did not want them to. The towels are thin and not so great except for the one I had before housekeeping breached my privacy. "Whole place is dated. Room was old, and "patched up" in several places. They didn't replace towels or clean the room the whole week. We asked for housekeeping service and they came and only made the bed, and gave us a few towels. They didn't clean the bathroom, or even empty the garbage cans. The breakfast bar had no proteins, only cereals and breads. The hot tub did not get hot, and most evenings the pool and hot tub were closed well before the posted closing time. We were in town to...

"Nasty with a capital 'N'. The property looks like it had a recent renovation but the room and common areas, elevator, etc were so dirty and smelled terrible. The floor in our room was sticky, walls had streaks of grime running down them, bad smell. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. Elevator was dirty, grimy. The access door on the side of the building was broken so it was open and unlocked. Would not stay there again, not even for a night passing through. Many other hotels...

"2-years in a row that the pool was closed. Shower head leaked & had weak water pressure. The Conditioner was empty upon arrival & need to have some sort of ‘night light’ available instead of only bright lights or TV. Not being picky, I liked my stay… I’m just trying to give good honest feedback ~ easy improvements. Thank You. "

"I had the king suite.. its was awful and it smelled horrible. I was moved the next day only because when I returned the room had not been cleaned…the worst stay ever..I will never stay here again"

"What I didn't like was everything the only thing that was good about that place was the girl that worked the night shift she was very helpful kind and understanding. But for the rest of them they were rude hateful and they acted like you were stupid so I will never stay there again."

"This was a bare bones establishment. For example, hair dryer mount on wall but no hair dryer, no tissues in tissue holder. Burn holes on bedspreads and chair. Deadbolt did not work and door closure seemed iffy. An effort had been made to clean but the room smelled stale and of smoke. I guess I got what I paid for."

"We had a good stay at the HGI in Gastonia. Generally clean, with some signs of wear in the room, but otherwise fine. The staff was above and beyond nice and helpful at the front desk (Crystal was a standout- VERY nice!). The bartender was also nice and helpful when kids in our group wanted to order food. The lounge areas outside and in the lobby were good for adult hangouts. The ONLY things we didn't love were that the pool area was SO loud that we ended up leaving when a group of about 7...
