"Stayed one night at Millennium Rotorua with the family. The location is definitely the best part — very close to Polynesian Spa and only about a 10-minute walk to the shops and restaurants.
But honestly, the hotel itself just felt like a basic room for a very high price. I really don’t understand why many hotels in New Zealand lack simple standard amenities that are common in Asia. No complimentary toothbrush, no bottled water — just the room and that’s it. Also poor quality bedding. so old and uncomfortable
When you travel through Asia, even cheaper hotels often provide much better service, more comfort, and more thoughtful details. Here, it feels expensive and unpleasant for what you actually get."
