"Overall, the stay was not terrible however, when we first checked in, the bathroom door would not close. Unfortunately, I was with my stepson and we were unable to use the bathroom or shower. I immediately went to the front desk and they sent a maintenance man up, but we inevitably had to leave for our reservations. When we got back at 11 o’clock, the door still had not been fixed nor did they let us know. When I went back to the front desk, they were trying to send the maintenance man back up at 11 o’clock PM. I asked for a new room and they inevitably agreed to move me. After we were moved, the stay was fine. It is a historical building so it’s not brand new and I don’t expect it to be. It’s nice for what it was however, I’m not certain we would stay again. "

"## **JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District: A Stellar Stay** I recently had an incredible stay at the JW Marriott Plant Riverside District and can’t recommend it enough. From start to finish, the experience was seamless. **The Highlights:** * **Exceptional Service:** The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shout-out to the valet team—they were super helpful and made retrieving our car at the end of our stay a total breeze. * **Spacious & Comfortable Rooms:** Our room featured two queen beds and was spotlessly clean. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. * **Impressive Bathroom:** The bathroom was huge! I especially loved the ample counter space, which made getting ready so much easier. * **Prime Location:** You couldn't ask for a better spot. The hotel is very central and puts you right in the middle of everything Savannah has to offer. I would absolutely stay here again. It’s the perfect base for exploring the city!"

"Room was not cleaned for 2 days. Maid applied the "do not disturb sign" back on our door after we intentionally removed it and placed it in our suitcase to ensure service. She removed it from our luggage and put it back on the door to make it seem like we "did not want service". This was fraud to both the client (myself) and her employer (Hyatt Luxury Collection - Over $600 per night). The room was also dusty and the room did not have a steamer, as listed as an ammentiy. We made 4 calls to the front dest asking urgently for a steamer or iron. This did not show up until it was too late. The hotel is critically understaffed, and NONE, and I MEAN NONE, of the maids (except the executive housekeeper) spoke one single word of English. The complimentary coffee in the morning in the lobby was COLD. There are no coffee makers in the room. This was also reported and instead of fixing the issue, they just removed the pots. This was reported to several people, and NO ONE took responsibility for this matter. This hotel was severely understaffed, and phones were never answered, and guest complaints were ignored. The room was covered in dust. Do not go here. The Front Desk Manager was exceedingly rude, and Hyatt Headquarters was equally rude - promising an inquiry into the incident and calling me with a result by EOB today. NO CALL. DON'T GO HERE. Valet parking is also $52 per night, otherwise street parking is available if you pay the meter on time; however 2/3 meters are broken."
