"The location was good. The hotel is tired. The credenza upon which the tv sat, had been apparently showing its years so they used black spray paint to freshen up the surface , but not the entire surface just the affected area. Desk chair covered in what I can only hope was paint. $4.50 for a bottle of water at the front desk. MINIMAL breakfast bar. I’m sure you get the idea as we have all seen properties like this. All of that said the location was excellent , 3 miles to city center . And the price was reasonable on a weekend when all other hotels were 2-3X their typical rates. "

"We can't wait to stay here again.The staff was very good. Housekeeping was fabulous! I havent had this service in a hotel in so long and this staff superb. The room was cleaned so quickly and I loved the turn down service."

"The hotel is exactly what we wanted for our stay: clean, quiet, nice breakfast and not too far from our activities. Coffee is set up all day which is very helpful. However, one drawback is that you have to use valet parking. It was very chilly outside and we could easily walk to our car, but instead we had to wait in the cold for 5-10 minutes waiting for it. I am not sure why the hotel requires valet parking. I don’t mind paying for parking but I’d like the option of keeping my keys and using the car as needed. We literally did not return to the hotel mid afternoon because we’d have to go through the process of waiting for our car when we wanted to leave again. "

"We were in The Enclave at the Vendue which is across the street from The Vendue. It has a more historic design and decor with exposed brick, and a gas fireplace. The location is perfect as it is in the heart of the French Quarter with access to restaurants, bars, shopping and historic sites. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The breakfast was a bag delivered to the room each day with a banana, an apple, two muffins, two croissants butter and preserves (no napkins). There’s a coffee maker in the room but no refrigerator. There are refrigerators located in various places in the hallways with complimentary water. The room was always clean but we had to request body wash and toilet paper which we believe housekeeping got disrupted restocking. "

"Parking was ok. TV was broken and reading light was broken> Requested maintenance for those two items three days in a row. Answer was always it will be fixed tomorrow. Never happened. We found the maintenance man in the hallway and he came and replaced the tv at 8:30 our last night. Bathroom needs more counter space and bathroom needs towel racks to hang towels to dry."

"It could be nice but it is in sad need of updating. We had a suite on the 14th floor for 4 nights. Only 1 of 2 elevators worked. Everything about the space screamed cheap. It was furnished with low end Ikea-like furniture. The kitchen was furnished with a coffee maker and a frig. No microwave. No paper towels. Regarding the bathroom: that was the worst single ply toilet paper I have ever experienced. The tub had a grab bar but it is in the wrong place. The shower curtain rod bends down so the curtain constantly slides open from both ends. The floor of the tub is slick. There is nothing to hold onto when entering or exiting the tub. The water pressure is terrible. I like the soap set-up. The bed was comfortable. The TV came and went frequently. The floors looked dirty and felt stickey. We only used the restaurant for breakfast one day. I had the buffet and I liked it very much. The server came near us and said, "Follow me." No smile. No ,"Good morning." Just, "Follow me." The food was good. Everyday we had to go to the front desk and ask for coffee because housekeeping never replenished our supply. Same with cream and sweetner. The front desk staff was very pleasant. Oh... getting in and out off of 17 is a death trap! The view was great both from our suite and the restaurant."
