"Stayed here on a one-night layover. Very “American style” (free standing modern building with big rooms) Marriott other than not having a free shuttle to/from airport. Uber was a little over 20GBP. Because the hotel is not on the airport grounds, You can walk around the corner for about a 1/4 mile and get a decent meal and a beer at a neighborhood pub that has indoor outdoor seating called the Pheasant. Very welcoming and avoids eating in the hotel restaurant although the hotel restaurant...

"First they didn't have the two single bed room I reserved months ago. Once we got to the room with a double bed and an uncomfortable sofa bed my daughter had to sleep on there was absolutely no air conditioning no matter what I did to the thermostat. I tried to call the front desk with no answer. There is shampoo and body soap but no conditioner and very rough towels, with no wash cloth. The only good thing was the bus stop across the street to get to the airport."

"Rooms were very clean and comfortable. They have essentials to purchase for cheap at the front desk (toothbrush kit, etc.). They have a full bar. It's within walking distance of several good pubs and restaurants. Takes about 6 minutes to get to Terminal 5 of Heathrow airport on the bus which stops right outside the hotel. The staff was very helpful."

I found the room quite cold and it seemed no matter how high I regulate d the thermostat, it remained cold with the aircon blasting cold air. I slept in my PJs and socks under a duvet, but still awoke frozen! At this point, I had to ring the front desk to ask for how to regulate the thermostat and they readily offered to bring in a heater This suggests to me that they knew they had a problem.
