Significant mould in the cafe/reception area. Hoses laying untaped on the footpath. Rooms showing lots of signs of age and desperately in need of TLC (shower grout, peeling paint and wallpaper, frayed...

"Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last."

"Hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking available. Facilities were similar to what you would expect to see in a Travelodge, although the rooms felt bigger. Breakfast was nice. Standard English breakfast available and you help yourself and a Continental breakfast is available if you prefer with a reasonable selection."
