"Air conditioning unit was really loud and woke us up each time it came on during the night.
Room was clean. Recently renovated. Looked better on the inside than the outside."
"I've been staying here at 3 weeks now on average of three nights a week because of a job here the rooms are clean they change their breakfast till 6:00 in the morning now all very good"
"It is off the interstate 40 about 10 or 12 miles but worth the stay. It was comfortable, quiet and Cindi was the desk clerk, she was amazing. The breakfast was better than most. The prices are much better than Shawnee and a whole lot more relaxing."
"When staying anywhere, cleanliness is my top priority. I am pleased to say this is one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed compared to even the upper hotels. This small motel right off the interstate was very quiet, quaint, lady at the front met us with a new key when she saw ours had messed up. We didn’t even have to ask her. I love tv and the channels were great. Best of all, the tub was so clean I took a hot bath. The water was super hot and even the corers and behind the nightstand were clean. The bed was so comfy I didn’t mind it was a queen bc my husband and I didn’t move an inch. The air was cold as ice and the fridge as well. It isn’t an extravagant hotel but I would choose it over many of the 4 star hotels I’ve stayed in. I was nervous that having the room directly by the interstate would be loud with traffic but I never heard a vehicle unless I opened my door. The property was mowed, the roof was new and the paint looked fresh. We didn’t get to partake in the breakfast I was looking forward to due to having to be out by 6 but our two nights there were better than I’d hoped. We will definitely stay there again when we return bc you can’t beat the price and you definitely will have a hard time finding a cleaner place."
"The hotel is unique and wonderful. It is an unmanned property, so you won’t necessarily see another person while you’re there. You’ll receive a door code when you arrive, and instructions on where to find the key to your room. There is a large common room with kitchen facilities and room to gather and relax. Our room was large, clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The ceiling fan helped to keep us comfortable, as did the air conditioning unit with a remote control. Shampoo, conditioner body wash and hand soap were all provided,
If we every happen to pass through Okemah, OK again, we will definitely stay at the Velvet Woody!"
