"This is a beautiful property and perfectly located. I want to give a special shout out to Harman for going the extra to make our stay more comfortable. Fortunately there were extra rooms that she was able to show me because the pre booked room contained a Murphy bed, which would not have worked well at all. I was actually very surprised that was being offered, as well as the teeny one person balcony, because neither seem conducive for a nice stay. I was able to upgrade to the one bedroom. I would normally rate with five stars but the nights were very uncomfortable due to the internal temperature controls. We had difficulty sleeping both nights because it seemed very hot and stuffy. Unless we just didn’t know how, it didn’t appear we had the ability to make the room any cooler. Other than the lack of personal temperature control and the possibility we could have ended up in that silly Murphy bed/teeny balcony suite, it would have been a five star rating. Once again thanks so much to Harman for improving what she did. "

"This hotel is in an ideal location, just behind Skier’s Plaza and near the civic parking lots. The ski locker self-storage was convenient. But the property is in desperate need of a redecoration; the rooms and hallways reek of early 80s Hot Dog era ski hotel, there are stains on the walls and carpets, and the pool deck is in disrepair. The pool never struck us as particularly clean. And our room was visibly filthy when we checked in, with hair and dirt all over the bathroom floors and garbage under the pullout couch. And they have a serious plumbing problem. None of the sinks in the room drained properly, and we had to call maintenance to unclog one and then the other toilet during our short stay. Our room was filthy enough that it made us question how clean the public spaces such as saunas or the restaurant could possibly be. We didn’t even try the restaurant because of that. "

"Our room was located right beside the construction area, and they were working even on weekends, so it was very noisy. I also informed the front desk that there was a trail of paper towels from the bathroom to the entrance of the Spaghetti Factory, but it was not cleaned when we pass by again. There was also spilled alcohol in the elevator, which I reported to the front desk, but it remained uncleaned even after a day. On a positive note, the location was convenient and easily accessible to the village."

"Celebrated our anniversary here with my husband, and the entire experience was nothing short of amazing. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, and our room was spacious, luxurious, and truly top tier. What stood out most was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond before we even arrived. I loved that they had us fill out details about our stay ahead of time so we could add any special requests in advance. Every little detail felt thoughtful and intentional. We especially appreciated how accommodating they were with our early check in and late check out requests. The complimentary champagne toast at Braidwood Tavern was such a lovely touch. We dined there twice during our stay, once for the buffet breakfast, which was delicious, and again later where I had one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had! We also made a late night dessert request, and the ice cream cookie sandwich was unreal. The complimentary shuttle to the village and driving service was another detail we really appreciated and made everything feel so seamless. While we didn’t get a chance to use the pool this visit, we walked by and it looked beautiful. We’re already planning to book a spa treatment next time. We truly can’t wait to return and honestly won’t stay anywhere else now! "
