"What a gem this place is! I have now booked here twice, once for girls weekend and now for family weekend with 2 littles. Town is about a 20-30 drive but it doesn't feel like it at all and there are so many activities to do in New Braunfels, Seguin and Gruene. From splash pads, river tubing, parks, restaurants, hiking trails, antique/boutique shops, etc. there is so much to do. I highly recommend Hideout at the Horseshoe for a getaway- its magical!"

"It was an ok stay. Slight holes in drapes. The plastic shower surround was cracked on the floor exactly where you need to stand to shower. It looks like they tried to tape it over but I gave way if you stepped on it. The control for the stove was broken and exposed. It was a cheap room and ok for 1 night. "

"Perfect location !!! It is only2 miles to Whitewater Amphiheater and River Road if you want to float the Gaudalupe River. So cute and cozy !!! There was a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Nice touch. The bed was great. The place was nice and clean. Will be staying again. Lots of places to eat near by. There is a nice Dollar General one block away. Nice quite neighborhood."

"The owner's and staff were great!! The rooms are clean and bathroom large. The shower water pressure was excellent and it always had hot water. The bulding was also keep clean and well mattationed. It was cloae to alot of stores and places to eat. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"The room was clean, check in was fast. Good price ... Just remember that most of the hotels in the area are older and the rooms are outdated. The breakfast is cereal and coffee.. But, again you pay for what you get... I got what I wanted.. a clean room, a frig and microwave, and eating places next door... When in town I will come back..."

"Not so good. Toilet needed manual flap replacement to flush. Toilet paper in a bucket on bathtub because no way to hang it on wall. Room smells old and musty. The front desk people were super nice! I wish the hotel could have been the same "

"My recent stay at this location was very satisfying. The gentleman attendee in reception was friendly. The room was spacious, clean, cool and the beds were very comfortable. The weather did not permit us fo enjoy the lake which is walking distance from the hotel. But all in all I had an enjoyable time at Canyon Lake. I would love to go back to enjoy the lake."
