New Laund Hill, Whitewell, Lancashire. Looking west across the River Hodder, which runs alongside the Inn at Whitewell, towards New Laund Hill. This hill rises steeply to 229 metres above sea level. The buildings in the middle distance are the tiny hamlet of New Laund, just in the next square north. My only complaint was there were 2 small bottles of water put out for us like most hotels do but they were half full and the seals were broken ...
