"Gauthier was a no frills type of space. The staff, though off site, was helpful with check in. The room was dated but clean. Parking was available on site. The location was convenient for my needs. The lake was right outside of the window. Had a peaceful stay"
"Room was clean and spacious, quiet, bed comfortable and bathroom had the wonderful amenity of a Jacuzzis tub however, in the room, there was no information of how to run things such as the tub, opening/closing the shade for the glass doors- creating a situation of trial by error that felt like a lot of button pushing. The view of the lake for the room we were in was blocked by an above the ground pool that was between the row of rooms and the lake. The pool looked clean however the weather, while we were there was not really conducive to wanting to go in for a swim (not the resorts fault!). The view of the lake from the pool itself seemed nice. We did ask the front desk in the main building about the operation of the tub and they did send the building manager and he was able to help us be able to use the tub as was built for. There was not obvious access to staff in the building we were in and felt like we needed to check in at the main building across the road. We did have the experience of returning to the room one late afternoon and found the door to the room had not been shut. Nothing was taken and appeared to have been an oversight problem. Was reported to the front desk just so they were aware and did let them know there did not seem to be anything missing from the room. In general, loved the room and would only strongly recommend putting instructions for some of the room features in the room due to seeming no easily identifiable management staff in the building."
"YOU MUST STAY! I went with my husband, son, his wife, their 10yo son and 3yo daughter. We had a second floor bedroom and a third floor bedroom. The bedrooms (3 floors), tea/coffee room, all bathrooms, additional sitting rooms and basement (full functioning kitchen, rec room, laundry and bathroom) were all clean and tidy. They were renovating, so the porches were a bit messy from supplies, but still relaxing and comfortable. There was a firepit outside. They had complimentary coffee, hot chocolate & tea with cream and such. There were little touches of welcoming like a basket of chocolate on the 1st floor hallway, shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers in the showers, bottles of water in the bedrooms, first aid kits on each floor, books, games and so much more. I had a microwave & fridge in my room. My son only had a fridge. Honestly because there is a full kitchen in the basement there was no need for the microwave. I also had a tv, but I could not get any channels to work, my son did not have a tv. This did not matter as we sat in the basement rec room and watched as a family.
There is excellent wi-fi for your devices. FYI: You DO need to take your shoes off in the mud room. There are multiple pairs of slippers to use, if you wish. We just went in our socks. This was no big deal. Also, there is a bathroom on the second floor that might be used at the same time for both men and ladies(there are 2stall toilets and 2showers). Other bathrooms are private w/ locks."
