"The room was new and clean, however the bed was awful. The amenities, other than a nice pool, were just not there. The property itself could use a refresh. But, the view was wonderful, and the hiking trails were great. "

"Our stay was great! Flora & Fauna is a really cool place to stay. It honestly felt like we had the whole place to ourselves which was super cool. We brought our little dog and he loved the property too. All in all, we LOVED our stay. Here are a couple of things that would have made it just a little better: - Breakfast: We found Blanco Brew a little too far to walk to every morning so we ended up driving. It was fine with a pastry and a drip coffee but a little lacking compared to other hotels. - Grill: We grilled burgers one night for dinner and used the Traegar on site. However, Traegars are more of a smoker than a grill so our burgers never got seared, cooked pink/red on the outside, and took 40 minutes to cook at 400 degrees. I'd suggest changing this out for an actual grill, not a smoker. - Hot Tub: We wanted to use the hot tub one night and followed the instructions, but it heated up far too hot (110 degrees). We had to wait 2 hours for it to cool down enough for us to get in safely. Be aware that there are no jets for this hot tub so it does not bubble like typical hot tubs. Also, there is a great blue light in the pool but there is not a light in the hot tub, making it very dark. - Pet Fee Not Listed: I looked at multiple websites and never saw a pet fee associated with our stay, but was later asked to pay $50 for our pet. This is not listed anywhere so be aware that if you take a pet, there is a small fee. This is not a big deal, but was a surprise fee."
