"It had a great air conditioner with a steady fan hum which drowned out any train noise, as it was across the street from busy tracks. Was close to a historic downtown area which was lovely to explore and we had missed on prior visits.to Livingston. We got a room with a pullout sofa bed and had a table and chairs and felt homey. Did not like getting contact high from the weed smoking happening below the room... only smelled outside though. Had benches in front of the rooms for my smoker friend...

"Stayed in handicap room by not picking room correctly. Clean room but had issue that the door would not close and lock would just open right up very time try to close. Told lead manager and he came over and told us we need to pull up on door and push it closed. Several times in our stay the door would just open up on its own and how is a handicap person to do this when capable person had issues. Had paint peeling in the bathroom and flex shower head was leaking out the wall and head unit. ...

"This hotel is pretty old and tired. Only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is that they had replaced the carpet in the room with vinyl plank, so that helped somewhat. There was wingback chair in the room that was fairly threadbare with stains on the arms and seat. The desk chair seat and armrests (vinyl) were worn and had tears in them. "Hidden gem. Don’t go by the exterior. Rooms were great. Loved the fire pit and cornhole boards. Nice sitting area in the the lobby. There was a $20 parking fee we were not aware of."
