"Planned 3 days to stay at the Lake Powell Resort, but cut it short due to a few things. The hotel was poorly maintained, crumbs on the floor, bathroom fan was so loud because of the buildup of dust, sheets had a stain on them and lastly the smell of sewage was overwhelming. Garbage can on our floor was piled high with trash for a day and a half. No elevators we had to make multiple trips to our car to bring up or luggage. Staff was nice.
Our view of the lake was ok, but because the water was so low, the view wasn’t much. Wouldn’t stay here again."
"It’s unique because the rooms are individual, separated cabins. Inside there the size of a reasonably sized hotel room with all the normal amenities. There’s a porch on the front and your own parking space also in front."
"This is really a great stay. Located downtown Kanab, walkable for food and shopping and close to all great area recreation . Super home base. Decor, amenities, service, bed all great. Even has a ping pong snd pool table . Average breakfast with good coffee. Will definitly return"
"Definitely looking forward another stay here at this amazing , charming, historic inn. What a treasure of a place. My only constructive comment would be that, while very well maintained, the property is tastefully dated. Its part of the charm certainly but I hope they invest a bit in updating some of the dated items that are not necessarily related to the charm (such as nicer bathrooms). Small concern, and overall a great stay."
"We stayed at Jacob Lake prior to the scheduled May 15 opening of the North Rim. The hours of services were very limited. The restaurant was not open, however, we were able to get meals at the bar. Breakfast was not available until 8:00 am - not ideal for hikers and others wanting an early start. We were given a phone number at check-in to call if we encountered ANY problems. We left two messages, but never received a call back.
There are no coffee pots or hairdryers in the rooms. Internet service is the slowest I have ever experienced. Our room in the motel was clean, except for ants and buckshot (?) pellets on the floor. This is a satisfactory place to stay if you need to be near the North Rim, and are okay with very basic amenities."
"The room was great, everything was clean, the staff were very nice. The breakfast was great. Very nice on the way to or from Zion. Highly recommend. "
