"Good sized room and a very comfortable bed. Good en suite shower. Could do with a deep clean but good value for money. "

"The Mill Hotel is in an excellent position, overlooking the mill pond and adjoining common. There is ample parking nearby and it is just a short walk into the lovely town of Sudbury. There is an attractive restaurant and bar, with feature water wheel, and the food was good. The rooms were well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Due to the historic age of the hotel, there's no lift, which would have caused me problems if my room had been on an upper floor."

"Helpful staff upon arrival and the room was as expected and very clean however the space in the corner could have been occupied by a chair or couch for additional seating otherwise it had what was required of a room in a hotel. We thought the drinks bar in the dining room was rather expensive though & also an extra charge for parking put 30 pounds on the bill for 3 nights. All in all a good stay."

"The lock on our assigned room malfunctioned so we were moved to an adjacent room. That room was adequate, though the bathroom was very small and thus awkward to use. Standard pub fare was provided for lunch and dinner - nothing to get excited about. Breakfast, however, was excellent and served in a room functioning as a coffee shop for nearby railway customers (their coffee is good). Although the Red Lion is advertised as being under new management, their partnership with Smart Parking Ltd. is...

"Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. "The welcome we received at check in was probably the best welcome ever at a hotel. Our room was squeaky clean and we had a gorgeous relaxing view over the golf course. We ate in the onsite restaurant one evening, sensibly priced and great food, again the staff were exceptional. We loved the use of the pool and its other facilities. All in all it was a fabulous stay, we hope to visit again."

"We stayed here over a very busy May Day Bank Holiday. While we found hotel parking a bit pricey, we opted to park in the Premier Inn up the road, which was a convenient walk or a quick e-bike/scooter ride away. The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, and the property was generally clean, though the bathroom did have some minor mould and water staining. While the check-in staff were a bit distant (neglecting to mention the local bus service), the real issue was...

"This was our third stay here and it didn't feel as good this time. Room was nice but would have benefited from a deep clean. Pool is great but jacuzzi was out of order and every time we collected a pool key card it didn't work and we had to traipse back to reception. Breakfast options are good, but things ran out and were slow to be replenished, only one coffee machine was working so a big queue, and our table wasn't cleared in the whole time we sat there.
