"Really surprised by this place. Really hidden away. The room was lovely and clean and nicely decorated, very modern. Only downfall was the chargeable parking, shame but not the end of the world as it was £5 for 24 hours…just didn’t expect it. Would definitely stay here again "

"What an amazing boutique hotel. Fabulous location at the bottom of a wonderful cobbled hill. Lovely room with comfortable bed. Perfect location. Great cooked breakfast - very tasty. "Staff at Oulton Hall are the stand out feature. From check in to Oliver in the restaurant to the waiting staff at breakfast, all are well above expectations.
Old school service where staff wait for you to pass rather than rushing to get where THEY need to be is actually quite refreshing these days.
Can some things be improved, sure but this hotel has a lovely pool, great dinner and breakfast and just a lovely vibe.
Check it out, for the most of us, it’s a wonderful experience. "

Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. "

"Amazing hotel, adequate spa. Whilst the pool is slightly warmed it quickly turns cold and it is missing a jacuzzi badly. Service in the hotel is second to none, every meal was lush and breakfast especially good. All the staff were courteous and prompt with any request. Would definitely stay again in a heartbeat, just leave the trunks at home."
