"Overall the hotel was good. Our stay included breakfast each morning, which was very tasty. Our room was a strange layout and rather tight for a 4 person room. On the second night, we found a massive cockroach in our bathroom, which really scared us all."

"I would absolutely not recommend people to stay here. After discovering black mold on the headboards of each of the beds in our room as well as all over the bathroom, we were switched to another room that also had mold in the bathroom, specks of it on the headboards, and worst of all, every one of the four pillows were stained and dirty. This is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at in terms of cleanliness, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The staff were nice enough to swap out rooms, but didn’t tell us there probably wasn’t a single room in the hotel without mold."

Frances and her colleagues are incredibly warm, generous, and hospital hosts. The breakfasts are simply divine and showcase why Tainan is a city known for its food. The rooms and common areas are exquisite, decorated in a mix of original mid-century modern furniture, gorgeous eclectic finds, wonderful art. Extremely comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, and lovely small balcony with a cafe table and chairs. I could go on and on… I felt as though I was staying in a spectacular home rather than a sterile hotel. Such a lovely, special place! "
