"Clean room, close to cruise port and helpful staff. Mall with restaurants right next to hotel. Uber will take you to cruise ship. Also, quaint fishing village on the beach in front of hotel. We watched 50+ sea lions feed off the fishermen cleaning fish. We really enjoyed this hotel."

The hotel restaurant is fantastic, eagerly accommodating my gluten free diet. We loved the pool and hot tub and chatting with other guests. We highly highly recommend Casa Higueras!!!"

"The hotel was one of great comfort and calm. The staff were wonderful and informative. The room was well appointed and comfortable although we preferred to sit in and wander through the gardens which are extensive. The food was excellent and we could watch the kitchen staff prepare meals. The pools, saunas, hot tub were especially nice. The hotel was filled with flowers from the gardens and fresh bouquets were in every room."

"An outstanding hotel. The only one to stay in when in Valparaiso. Hotel is charming as it’s in a palace. It’s been beautifully retrofitted to meet travelers’ expectations. We had a very generously proportioned room with a charming view of the city. The spa, especially the Japanese-style hot tub was a very welcome treat after climbing the many city staircases! The breakfasts were outstanding with a great choice of offerings including eggs, bacon, cereals , homemade jams, jellies, breads, croissants—the works! Extremely pleasant terrace for afternoon relaxation or sunset drinks. The staff was one of the most charming we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They recommended restaurants and found us an excellent car service for our trip to Santiago. They sought to make our stay outstanding and they succeeded. "
