"I've stayed at Old Silk Appartments twice so far in apartments 8 and 9. Both I found spotless, white soft towels, comfy beds, tastefully decorated well maintained and adequately appointed. Large fridge freezer, 4 ring hob oven and microwave, basic set of kitchen utensils and a couple of pans adequate to cook something simple. "My stay was only three nights but it turned out to be like two separate stays. I was checked into a single room as requested and was initially delighted with it. But I then found that it coincided with football being shown on a large screen TV just yards away in the courtyard from my window, and that my room was next door to a gents toilet open to the visitors (ie public). And after experiencing the toilet door banging every 30 seconds and a hand dryer whirring literally the other side of the wall from my desk space, I had to ask to move. This was handled most professionally and I was shifted to a super and much larger room above a conference centre. I have read on reviews that this could also be noisy at times but I seemed to be almost the only person in that building, so it was super quiet. Apart from night time road works going on 50 yards away, that is (and of course outside the hotel's control). Advice to others: ask if the hotel is hosting any event in their courtyard and if so, avoid rooms close by. I did not eat at the hotel so my only contact with staff was with reception. They were terrific and a credit to the Three Swans. Car parking was easy and safe enough although the layout is a bit higgledy-piggledy, and I simply cannot fathom why it is also used as a public pay and display. If I had arrived late at night to find the parking full and not even all with hotel customers, I don't think I would be too pleased."

"New hotel, room very practical, new and clean (apart from one set if bedsheets, with dark hair that did not belong to us). No telephone to call reception in the room. Staff very polite and helpful. Was a bit surprised to have to pay extra for parking (nowhere on hotel details when I booked as far as I know). Good to have starbucks on site. On the whole, good experience but a bit expensive for a budget room, especially as we booked ages in advance"

"The hotel is in lovely grounds by the River Avon & has lots of parking space. The location is within easy reach by car of Kenilworth, Stoneleigh Abbey, Leamington Spa and Warwick. The room was quiet and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is a bit small but fine if not many are using it. Breakfast is a bit expensive if you pay for it separately and a bit early for us, during the week, but there was a good selection in the buffet and menu, although you had to pay extra for some dishes. The dinner was tasty although my fish dish was a bit salty. The hotel isn't very eco friendly. There were little water bottles in the bedroom & we were given more the second day. I saw a trolley full of them. This is a lot of plastic waste. There is no need for plastic water bottles: wevfilled our own water bottles with water from the bar. Also, although we were encouraged to not discard barely used towels, one of my towels was uneccessarily replaced."
