"Wonderfully isolated location with huge views of coastline and old volcanoes. Enjoyed a double aspect sea view. Easy access along gravel road from Route 1 and Vik relatively nearby for amentities. Well presented and decorated with pictures. Unduly expensive breakfast - not tried Major problem with lack of communication in advance. Ignored three messages via Expedia and an email even after being called by an Expedia representative. Am still unclear whether there is a dinner option as...

"This was a lovely place to stay! We came in from the Laugavegur trail and for similar money it was a nice upgrade compared the huts we had stayed in prior (though those were quite good as well). The staff was very helpful, the facilities were great, and the location was lovely. If you’re not hiking in you definitely need to take a bus here! It’s not cheap but it’s really necessary unless you’ve got a serious off-road vehicle."
