"Anse Chastanet is by far the best value for luxury, amenities, and experiences in St. Lucia. Our room was visited 2-3 times daily by cleaners and staff (to make little transitions like turning on some lights while we were at dinner, tidying up while we were away at the beach/meals and replacing amenities like the complimentary water and local coffee). "We had one day to stay at this location so given the pics, we felt this was a good fit. It is a 1/2 hour from the airport but that's about the best thing. When we got there, the place was empty and that was fine. We were past prime season, but the 6 cats and the smell of cat urine was too much. The views were great from the bar and patio, the rooms very average with one that reeked of cat pee. We took our losses and left. We did not stay overnight as it was just too smelly. The one beer...
