"The lighting was apalling! Mirrors in dark corners or bad light. Had to use a torch in the restaurant to be able to read tge menu. Everything black or dark grey which gave a very uncomfortable atmosphere. Most importantly wee were not told about tge major traffic diversion!!! It took us 2 1/2 hours from Bruges to find tge hotel!!! I used to be a regular client but this experience was apalling for such an expensive and well known chain! "This was a fabulous hotel! The history and decor was absolutely marvelous. The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was in a great location, walkable to restaurants and the market square. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Bruges. "
