Excellent stay!

We booked a double room. However, two days before our scheduled stay, we received an e-mail offering us a free upgrade to a studio, with a full kitchen. We gratefully accepted. The property was delightful, and gave us the opportunity to shop locally, and cater for ourselves. There was parking right outside the door, and the local village was delightful. Recommended without reservation.

Has everything you want

We only spent the one night here but this would be perfect place for a longer stay. It has everything you you want. Don’t get me wrong it’s still good for a single nights stay. It is spacious, very comfortable furnishings and within walking distance of restaurants, shops and The Falls. We were greeted by the owner on arrival who was full of local information and willingness to help. We would definitely stay here again.

Home sweet home

Staying in almost 20 yrs old Swiss house but with modern home accessories - everything is well equipped. We taste the cherries & this is typical Swiss cottage with flowers & grapes tree everywhere.

Dont show up late

So this is more a bed & breakfast. This may be fine if you come during the listed reception hours. We called ahead as advised on hotels.com. We drove in late and did not get in until after 11pm. We were told a key would be left in mailbox. We were unable to get key and had to call. Owner came out and she was very nice but questioned why we got in so late. We were made to take our shoes off before entering home and had no slippers. Not a big deal but my husband does not like walking barefoot, especially into a shared bathroom (1 bathroom for guest). We were shushed going through the house because the house is very open. We weren't talking, we were rolling our suitcases. Not a romantic getaway, as planned. The good parts: the home is beautiful and kept very clean. There was another couple eating breakfast and it looked tasty. The location is amazing and really close to the rheinfalls.
