"I recently stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites in Eagle River, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is convenient—just off the highway and close to local shops and restaurants, which made exploring the Anchorage area easy. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities I needed. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, especially after long days of sightseeing. "We didn't feel the area was that safe and i would even say this for downtown Anchorage. There were many homeless people and it was very sad. Some seemed agitated."

"I was staying a single night before taking the train in the morning. 15 minute Taxi ride to the airport and 5 minute Taxi to the train depot. Several restaurant choices in close walking distance. Staff helpful and polite. "
