"I have stayed here several times now. On arrival had a long wait to be checked in. Nobody was on reception. When they finally turned up there was no apology for the wait. Room as expected but I thought this time it was looking very tired. Badly chipped paintwork. Dirty marks on carpet. A stone from a fruit from previous guest on floor. "I had a great stay at this hotel for the night.
Very clean, comfortable beds. Clean shower. Could connect to the TV to watch the likes of YouTube or watch normal channels. Room service, although I didn't use this. A lovely restaurant with lovely food..and the staff were fantastic. Even checked me in an hour early.
Thank you so much for a lovely stay and I highly recommend booking."

"The room was clean but a few issues I found brown marks on the door frame of the bathroom maybe make up ? Also on the table there was stain drink cup marking and the shower glass has all marks on it there was cobwebs around lamps and bedside lampshades was dusty dirty and marked and one lamp didn’t work.
The staff was lovely very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was lovely shame there was no tomato’s and only fault was the orange juice was warm. And staff was a bit slow at putting new fruit and...

"Hotel is in a great location - just over 15 minute walk to the train station, close to shops and the Cathedral - looks like the downstairs has been elegantly renovated. Beautiful newly-refurbished bedroom, with some really thoughtful extra touches - such as a rubber bathmat and handrail, electric fan, suitcase stand, and biscuits every day with the tea and coffee. I liked being able to open the window.

"Room was boiling hot. No air con in room working!
Especially needed with the heat wave. Extra fan was not brought to the room, nor was there much of an effort to do something even though we were dripping with sweat from the hot room.
Fan that was in the room was absolutely filthy, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a look time.
Stains up the wall, dirty shower screens, cobwebs, filthy skirtings, stains on floor.
Outside of the hotel looks nice and decorated but shame about the...
