"The room was clean and I loved the free shuttle to the arena! Only con is that we stayed on the eleventh floor. The front desk representative asked us high or low floor but failed to tell us that the twelfth floor was being renovated! So at 7am we were awakened to loud hammering and drilling. The view from the room was beautiful and we loved the amenities, we would’ve chosen another floor if we were privy to the renovations."

"After we unpacked and settled into our room our air conditioner ceased working. We were moved to another room that was not even half as nice as the one we left. So we were inconvenience and had to repack for our room transfer because our air conditioner didn't work and we were given a much smaller room with a terrible view of rooftops filled with mechanical units on top of them. The staff was pleasant as they demoted us."

"We stayed one night and I appreciated the design of the hotel, with unique details. It was a little loud for my taste, apparently my neighbors had a problem at night and had to change rooms - they were not quiet about it. It was a random weekday so I can't imagine what it's like on a weekend.
The staff tried to be really nice but there was a lot of confusion. None of them seemed to know about a complimentary cocktail besides welcome champagne even though it's listed right on the amenity page of...

"Rooms could use an upgrade ..quite tired, older furniture. Bed was fine but do not get a sofa bed!
The engineer , Steve was very helpful as he couldn’t get air conditioning to work so recommended a different room that was larger and very cool and even brought us a rollaway cot which was 100% better than sofa bed for my granddaughter ."

"We had an early morning flight, so we opted to stay in Detroit and dine at the hotel. The hotel’s a cool remodeled fire house and bank , the location was conveniently situated just off the highway. The staff was exceptional, and the food was really good. What more could I possibly want?! Additionally, as a platinum member at Expedia , I was pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated."
