"Great hotel in a fantastic location in nature but not far from the beaches. The view is amazing and palm trees with monkeys jumping around is just beautiful. The infinity pool offers nice views and and the hotel area is small. The food was excellent. The chef was very helpful in finding gluten free options and the food was delicious. "At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."

"Amazing hotel. Great staff, very boutique feeling with amazing decoration (balinese style). We stayed with our 3 children (9,7,2) in a family room, room 206, and the hotel felt perfect for kids. The pool has a shallow area, the beach area is safe and the hotel lended us some bodyboards for our older kids to play with in the sea. Note that the bedroom balcony doors do not close 100% by design so you will heqr the waves at all time (which we liked to go to sleep) but it may not be for everybody....

"Wir hatten wundervolle Tage in dieser traumhaften Ruheoase! Das Personal schaffte eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre und war jederzeit erreichbar. Die Zimmer waren sehr großzügig und modern - das Highlight war der Balkon mit Blick auf den Pool und den Feldern. Das Frühstück war auf Sri Lankanische Art gemacht - super lecker. Außerdem fanden wir es ganz toll, dass das Hotel einem Einheimischen gehört!!! Wir wären gerne länger geblieben aber wir kommen wieder! ;) Until next time!"
