"We stayed here on two separate occasions. We found the desk staff very good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We would like to see the hotel remove the small plastic cups of water in the room and replace with a filtered water fountain on each floor. "Lovely location and we enjoying visiting this beautiful colonial beach hotel however we were charged twice for drinks consumed in the lobby and moved to the terrace area despite explaining to the staff at the time and showing my receipts. Be careful and double check your statements as they take your bank card and disappear with it. They don’t need a pin or a signature to take money out. Shocking! "

"I stay at Jetwing Colombo 7 almost every time I visit Colombo. The hotel is comfortable, centrally located and the staff are great. However, there’s two things that could really make this stay perfect. Firstly, the WiFi - it’s unusably slow and the coverage is spotty. It gets worse every time I visit. Secondly, the food. "This historically significant property is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel in the midst of Colombo. The restaurant is also wonderful, Such a surprise as we found it randomly and had no idea that it was the former prime minister's house and that Charles and Camilla had stayed there. Our room next to the beautiful courtyard pool had a four poster and a private terrace and a huge gorgeous modern bathroom. It is an old house but the decor is v. cool! "We had a small situation where when we switched off the A/C the whole room was dripping water as later I found out that the walls are made out of clay. So all our bags and the entire room got watery…but other than that, staff was extremely professional and friendly, location is beautiful as well.
