"This is a very average property, with a very nice view.
The staff isn't very friendly from the minute we walked in the door. None of the amenities were open, or they were all booked. So if you want to eat dinner apparently you need to call weeks ahead.
The breakfast is very average. It's like a selection of grocery store bought goods and and a couple of hot things. Also no cups, which apparently was a chore to be asked for one.
But then the worst part, is that construction on the property...

"L'endroit est parfait. Le cadre est enchanteur et la vue est a couper le souffle. L'hotel est très propre ainsi que les chambre. Tout est fonctionnel.
On nous a accueillie avec une sangria et on nous a tout bien expliquer.
Vraiment rien a redire, que du positif."

"This place is stunning, simply put. They thought of everything - none of the details were missed. Hairdryer in room, spacious bathrooms and spotless rooms, lovely breakfast included. The views, flowers, sounds of birds and refreshing pool are what makes this a special place. Very close to train station in Regua, with lots of restaurants close by."

"What a gorgeous property. Spa options are amazing. The wine and port tasting was top-notch.
With only one night, we really did not get to experience all of it. I would recommend at least two. Coming in September or October during the winemaking season would be fantastic.
The staff was extremely polite and knowledgeable and helpful"

"We had a comfortable room with a patio overlooking the Douro River. Staff very friendly.
The only negative from our point of view was the window from the shower into the room. The botton 2/3 rds are translucent and upper 1/3 clear. If a light is turned on in bathroom bedroom is lit up as well . Also the obvious privacy issues. Other than the the room , hotel , staff, bar and restaurant are great."
