"The place is so lovely! It rained the whole time we were there and we never saw the volcano but it did not matter. We spent our whole time on the property. The jacuzzi we had was amazing and the food in the restaurants was delicious!"

"This was by far our favorite property we stayed at on our CR vacation which included 5 different hotels. This hotel was peaceful, felt private and truly dedicated to Mother Earth. The food was excellent. The night time hike tour was wonderful. Views are amazing. Wish we had booked it for more nights."

"Nice property in the heart of La Fortuna. Very walkable to restaurants, shopping or a nice stroll. Easy access to many activities in the town. Cute room but small-ish with a decent pool and nice views of the volcano. Good breakfast but gets boring eating the same thing every morning - could switch up the menu a bit. No food/drinks on property after breakfast time but its super close to many restaurants and bars. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be in the middle of the town."

"Stayed for 5 days with 3 little kids. Free breakfast is for 2 only, then pay 10$ for each extra person. Pretty nice place, however no pool or hot spring on site. It's near red frog restaurant and Tita Rosa soda. We would still go back."

"We enjoyed Sangregado Lodge. Upon arrival, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water, which was a nice touch. The highlight of this lodge is the spectacular view of the Arenal valley. The lodge had very few to no amenities but its location high up in the mountain made it feel more remote and less touristy than the resorts on the main La Fortuna road. "Property is a standard stay. Pool is good. But only 1 restaurant. So got bored with the food options. Staff are friendly but had to carry our luggage on our own. Pool and spa is great. Overall a decent stay! I recommend a in room phone or tablet in the rooms."

The property is full of wildlife, and we were able to watch spider monkeys swinging from the trees from the balcony of our room, as well as watch a variety of native birds and other native creatures without going anywhere else.
