"If you are in the Akihabara area and need a hotel with a great location and great atmosphere, you will not go wrong with Under Railway. One of the other deciding factors for this hotel is the fact that they can accommodate a large group, something that is hard to find in Tokyo, depending on your circumstances. Another possible drawback is the sound of the railway above you, but if you are anything like my siblings, a) you might not even notice it after a certain point or b) you might find it soothing."

"We had a fantastic stay at MONday Apart Premium Akihabara. The rooms were spacious, clean, and perfect for families, especially by Tokyo standards. Having a washing machine and kitchenette made our stay so much easier and more comfortable. The location was excellent, close to Akihabara Station, convenience stores, restaurants, and shopping, while still being quiet at night. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. Highly recommend for families or groups visiting Tokyo"

"We asked to change to another room, because the bedsheets were dirty, the massage chair had some red stains and the corners of the shower were dirty. The staff was really nice and helpfull and let us choose between two other bedrooms, but sadly both of them were also pretty bad. We chose the one that seemed less dirty. The breakfast was pretty basic, espacially if you stay for more then four days since they have a limited menu. Other then that both the staff and location was amazing."

JR East Hotel Mets Premier Akihabara

"We enjoyed our stay here for our first time in Tokyo! If you're looking to stay in Akihabara, the location of this hotel cannot be beat, as it's directly outside the train station. Akihabara Station is only 2 stops away from Tokyo station, 30 min to Shibuya, and just 10 minutes from Asakusa, making this neighborhood incredibly convenient for getting around Tokyo. Despite being so close to the action, the room was surprisingly quiet. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the layout makes very efficient use of space. The shower and tub are very spacious, and the toilet is high tech and has a bidet! We stayed for 5 nights with no issues. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and there is English speaking staff if needed. Our room was always very clean! We visited the restaurant for the breakfast buffet, and it had a very impressive spread of both western and eastern style foods for breakfast. If you plan on doing laundry here, keep in mind there are only 3 laundry units for the entire hotel to share. They are almost always running, and you have to check frequently for an opening. The laundry units, while they do wash and dry, are small and are pretty limited to how much they can wash at once. You will likely need to spend extra coins and time for another dry cycle if drying thicker clothes, or, bring a laundry line to dry clothes in your room. We would be happy to return to JR East Hotel Mets Premier and highly recommend it!"
