Beware- not what it looks like

When we arrived for our stay, they had no record of the booking, and informed us there was no hot water. Used bathroom facilities whilst there- filthy with dead flies everywhere and no paper. Swimming pool a shade of green. Subsequent investigation on line suggests this hotel is a disaster area, and possibly in deep financial trouble with “rooms embargoed and gas cut off” for non-payment if taxes/bills. That would explain the lack of hot water! Pity, as it looks lovely and a great location.

Hotel muy agradable y bien situado recorrer zona

Estuvimos un fin de semana. Hotel muy agradable, la chica de recepción estupenda y nos atendió super bien. Volveremos sin dudarlo.

Hotellets beliggenhet i middelalderbyen Alarcon var fantastisk. Som å være i en filmkulisse. Veldig sjarmerende landsby med nydelig utsikt. Flott hotell med hyggelig betjening. Air condition som ikke virket trakk noe ned på komforten siden det var 35 grader.

Un 4 estrellas sin personal suficiente

Fuimos allí porque teníamos una boda esa tarde noche en Alarcón y un pueblo cercano. En el hotel estaban alojadas muchas personas de la boda. Por la tarde fuimos a la cafeteria con vistas agradables y solo había un camarero que ya nos dijo que estaba cansado porque llevaba desde las 7h de la mañana trabajando. Eran las 19H del mismo día. Por la noche volvimos al hotel a las 4 menos cuarto de la madrugada, la puerta del hotel estaba cerrada y nos encontramos con unos italianos desesperados por entrar con un niño pequeño que llevaban ya 10 minutos al menos esperando que les abrieran la puerta después de llamar a un timbre. Vimos que había un cartel solo en español (dificil para los extranjeros) que explicaba que si la puerta estaba cerrada se llamara a un numero de tfno al que llamamos sin parar durante 15 minutos al menos, timbre, puerta, telefono pero nada. Al fin se abrió la dichosa puerta y una señora se excusó diciendo que estaba cerrando a esa hora la piscina!!! Enfin en el desayuno nos encontramos de nuevo con el mismo camarero de la tarde anterior solo para al menos 4 mesas (no es un self service) que nos confirmó que estaba solo siempre, para desayunos, comidas, cenas y cafeteria entre las comidas. Inaudito para un hotel de 4 estrellas cuyas instalaciones son buenas pero muy desaprovechadas. Una pena. Por último la novia de la boda bajó a las 10h35 para desayunar y le dijeron que el desayuno cerraba a las 10H30. alucinante cuando el hotel se habia llenado por la boda

Et hotell i en gammel romantisk fjelllansby

Det var et flott hotell med fine fasiliteter, og ikke minst dette var en "oldstids fjelllansby som var holdt vedlike og i samme stand som den var for lang, lang tid siden. Det var en flott meny i resturant, men en del venting på mat, noe som kan komme av at alt var laget fra grunnen av. Får trekk for spa-avdelingen. De skulle ha 25 euro for en time med tilgang til en liten sauna, boblebad og et lite innendørs basseng. Utendørsbassneget var fantastisk med fin utsikt.

Deteriorating gem

The hotel was in excellent conditon when it opened about 3 years ago. Maintenance does not appear to be routine and the condition is deteriorating. The staff are limited in number but are doing their best given the lack of custom. Our bathroom flooded and has caused the room wooden flooring to rise. The spa shower also flooded. The owner needs to sell the hotel to a chain to provide an opportunity for recovery. Otherwise, closure appears to be inevitable.

Nos sentaron para comer en una silla con la tapicería del asiento rota. Nos recomendaron chuletillas de cordero del menú, eran recalentadas y me dieron ganas de ir a enseñar al chef como se hacen las patatas fritas, pues las patatas que las acompañaban estaban medio crudas y pudieron ser hechas al horno en un golpe insuficiente de calor. La presencia de una familia en el comedor que hablaba a voces contando sus vidas hizo la comida especialmente desagradable.La ensalada de primero notable en ingredientes y elaboración.No comimos ni cenamos más veces en el hotel. La habitación justa de espacio y generosa en el baño. La piscina preciosa pero es muy pequeña para la ocupación que había.Las colchonetas de las tumbonas de la piscina sucias y con cercos de las mojaduras, un poco repugnante. No hay servicio de toallas para la piscina, hay que usar las de las habitaciones.La presencia de niños pequeños hace que los desayunos buffet sean como en casa cuando se tienen hijos pequeños muy llorones.La atención en recepción muy buena.(Gracias) y el personal que atiende en el comedor también muy bueno, aunque la música del desayuno fuera de tipo Hispano-Liberación Democrática (Prefiero otra que entretenga) Es difícil volver con esta diferencia entre precios y prestaciones aunque las camas eran muy buenas.

SIN AIRE ACONDICIONADO, LA NOTA NO PUEDE SER BUENA

Positivo: trato del personal, entorno. Negativo: no funcionaba el aire en pleno Julio, tarde axfisiante. Sorprende que un hotel de esa categoría no tenga contratado un manteniminiento aunque sea en Domingo. Además, las instalaciones del SPA están muy deterioradas y sucias, paredes desconchadas, piscinas negruzcas...necesita una reforma inmediata para justificar las 4 estrellas, entiendo. Finalmente, no tuvieron ningún detalle con nosotros a pesar del calor tremendo que pasamos sin aire acondicionado. No estuvieron a la altura que su categoría y fama requieren. No pienso volver. es una lástima.

bonne étape pour une pause "andalouse"

personnel agréable (mais comme pas mal d'endroits en Espagne parle peu ou pas anglais) très bon petit déjeuner , serveur hyper agréable, au petit soins avec les enfants , alentours magnifiques. usure de certains éléments de la chambre , pas mal de dispositifs du spa qui ne fonctionnaient pas , la climatisation hors service ... ça ne gâche pas tout mais tout de même. je conseillerais en tant qu'étape pour un weekend .

Magnífico y relajante hotel+entorno

Todo muy bien en general, pero especialmente en la piscina, después de disfrutarla por el día, al caer la noche retiraban las tumbonas, ponían antorchas y creaban un ambiente chillout super agradable para cualquiera, pero especialmente romántico para parejas. Lo recomiendo a todo el mundo. Yo repetiré.

SPA VILLA ALARCON ESTUPENDO HOTEL POCO SPA

El hotel estupendo, aunque le faltan detalles, para ser un cuatro estrellas El spa, pequeño pero como controlaban los turnos pues estupendo para relajarte, el problema que el jacuzzi no iban todos los chorros y de la piscina no funcionaba los chorros contracorriente siendo semana santa debería estar en perfecto estado. La ubicación estupenda, el restaurante bueno pero un poco caro.
