"Hotel Heron is ideally located in the middle of Old Town Alexandria. Rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable. Kiln onsite restaurant was very good. We did have a couple issues with the room attendant who forgot to replace our wash cloths and made the bed with two top sheets instead of using a bottom fitted sheet. The sheet you laid was not tucked in so it slid around and got bundled up during the night. Annoying. Hotel’s valet parking is expensive so we used the Courthouse Garage...

"There was mold in the shower. Check in staff were unwelcoming. Check out staff were very good. For the high price of the rooms, it was insulting to see they expected $3 for a small bottle of water in the room when all orher hotels leave complimentary water. Overall we were left with the impression that it was not a positive work environment."

"My entire stay was absolutely wonderful!!! Check In was handle so smoothly. My husband drove up behind me and he has a dulley 450 truck that was too high for the parking garage. The hotel manager arranged parking for my husband, and we were able to park beside the hotel in the day parking lot. He even gave us his card in case we had any issues with the parking attendant. The bar staff were all amazing and I love when servers interact with customers, it gives it a personal touch. The was one...

"Our son lives in the area, but only has a 1 bedroom apt. We have tried many different hotel in DC and the area. This one just fits us. The surrounding area is filled with a nice variety of restaurants, bars, etc…even a movie theater, all in walking distance. This was our 4th stay and the staff is always so helpful."
