Today this short hike is frequented by the new age hippie travellers who flock here for the abundantly growing marijuana..but for many more years it has been on a key pilgrim route, with its natural hot springs - Kheerganga is the abode of God Shiva, and his wife Parvati. According to legend, Shiva's son Kartikeya meditated here for a 1000 years.
