"The room is cleaned well, especially the shower but the amenities are tired, the connection for the HDMI etc built in for the tv doesn’t work, there are no slippers or robes (considering this meant to be a 5 star hotel this isn’t crazy demanding) and the don’t have plates, cutlery etc in the room nor do they change your one mug, the cleaners will wash it in your sink. The biggest room issue though is the noise cancelling. To the street (very busy) it’s good. Internal to the hotel it’s terrible, you hear the corridor and the rooms next door unacceptably clearly to the point it does wake you up. There are quiet floors although I found out about this too late, maybe this is better and worth asking for if you’re noise sensitive (or to be honest in general). The breakfast is very good though, there is a wide and changing selection and the quality is very good for the volume of people, literally hundreds eating at the same time - it’s a big hotel. The lifts can be a problem, there are 3 for the hotel (others for the residences) and it can take a while for the to come and they can be full when they do. Especially around peak times of breakfast etc. "

"Zero amenities. Not even drinking glasses in the room. No ice - not even at front desk. You have to go to store to buy ice. Of course, no refrigerator, coffee maker, or microwave, but I don’t expect that in a hotel at this price. Everything else was okay. "

"I came down to hotel restaurant for breakfast, staff checked room Number breakfast not included and asked me to pay and I paid cash to staff for breakfast. After I left Panama heading to other countries and I found restaurant charge to my room again $66. Restaurant charge twice for one breakfast. I have no idea how restaurant can charge to customer without customer signing bill!!!"

"Internet was good. Suite was spacious. Shower and clothing closet on a seperate floor from bedroom. Ceiling fan was quiet and finctioning. A/C also quiet and functioning. Deck fan operates on a chain that was to short. Hammock on the deck takes alot of space where some decent seating and a small table might be. Great view of the park and street activity. Location is not know to Uber. Early morning coffee is available. Paid for morning breakfast with room online ... used 1 of 2 breakfasts, no credit offered. Breakfast quality is reasonable and tasted good. Staff are probably best asset at this property. They try very hard to make guests welcome amd comfortable. I did not feel like was being worked for an expected tip at all."

"Quite disappointing. The most obvious reason for the poor review is the immediate area the property is in. I read negative reviews about this but didn’t quite get the full scope of what the neighbouring properties were like until we actually stayed there. When a property is in such a rough area, at least if the service was exceptional, it would offset the experience somewhat. This was not the case. Our negative experience and poor customer service was present throughout our stay. When we checked in at 2pm (1 hour early due to our flight arrival time), we were told we had to wait 1/2 hr in the lobby or be charged a significant amount to access the room even though it was vacant and ready. Never in the many hotels we’ve stayed at have we ever been given that option. There was no hand soap in the bathroom - a very basic, standard item. Despite registering for 3 people to stay in the room, there were only 2 pool towels, and no actual blankets or bed pillows for the pull out. The a/c in the living room cut out at some point in the night and restarted late the next afternoon. We tried texting the numbers posted in the room but did not get a response. When I brought it to the attention of the concierge the next day, he told me if we if we “had an emergency, we could have come downstairs to tell him.” Again, the main negative is the area. It’s hard to overlook the deplorable conditions of the the surrounding properties and massive poverty when the rest of the experience is subpar. "
