"Stayed in the master suite and the neighbouring room. Master suite was massive, and beautiful! Both rooms could’ve been a touch cooler as far as AC goes, not an option to control it from the room unfortunately. Staff were friendly during our stay, but nobody was at the check in area upon arrival - we rang the desk bell, had to go let someone know in the restaurant next door that we wanted to check in. Included breakfast was fantastic, also ate at the onsite pub for one of our dinners and that was good - but several of the items we wanted to order were sadly “sold out” (cider, Shepard pie). Convenient location for downtown exploring in the historic section. Very pretty town, and charming B&B. Would recommend for romantic getaway."
"Stayed 1 night during Highland Games festival - it was very expensive for BW. That being said, it’s probably the biggest event in town so all hotels were at a premium. Room was clean, beds comfy, AC was set to refrigerate (my personal favourite!!!) and the free breakfast was actually pretty good. Check in was easy, parking free and ample. For those with EVs they have a charger in their lot which is super convenient."
"Everything was good once we checked in. I understand business, but a bit offputting when we first arrived - parking lot was empty, no one there - we arrived at 1:15 and was told check in was 2;30 - BUT - for $50 we could check in early. Sorry, we laughed, was not paying $50 for 75 minutes when our rate was $192 per night. Seemed too petty. Our issue for arriving early ... but still..."
"It's a great location, the staff were all very nice and the room was clean. I will say the rooms could use a refresh for sure - lots of haphazard wallpaper patches, old bathroom etc. It needs some TLC for sure. They were working on the exterior of the hotel when we were there so maybe a refresh is coming?"
"The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic! I would recommend to anyone in the area."
