"Staff is great, rooms are "tired" and in need of updating. Buffet meals are expensive as would be expected in a National Park but food wasn't very warm for the price "
"I understand that this a "historic" motel... However, nothing was said when I made my reservation that I would have to let the water trickle for 15 minutes in order to have hot water in the shower...
As far as having hot water in the bathroom sink, that never happened...
The heater was not working properly and I had to request a space heater.
The room was very clean, however.
What was surprising in this hotel and in the room was the number of "don't do" signs and penalties you would incur if you didn't comply. I understand that this kind of signs are necessary, but there were so many of those that I was almost afraid to sleep in the bed!
Inside the motel in the hallway, there was a bucket collecting water from the leaking pipes on the ceiling...
The exterior of the hotel was very dusty. If they want us to run the shower for 15 minutes, then they sure do have enough water to spray with a hose the immediate outside grounds!
Parking was ample and safe."
"They wouldnt let us stay because my husband had a paper ID due to just renewing it at the dmv. Even though the reservation was in my name. There was no mention of this online or posted at the front desk.
I will recommend a cute local B&B K7 Bed and Breakfast"
