The location of the hotel was nice. The bed was comfortable, but the room was noisy (dreadful bleeping traffic light just outside), the air con was too cold and the fridge was dirty.

Everything was clean and working in the room, if a little dated and in need of a freshen up. But for the price it was suitable and handy for the historical centre. Unfortunately my room was right next to the lift so some noise was heard.

The single room was as expected, although tight on space in the en-suite it had everything i needed and was clean and the bed comfy. The only problem is the tv is positioned too high on the wall so you cannot see the picture on the screen properly. It needs to be lowered. Overall a pleasant stay for a very reasonable price.

Hotel Universal it is a affordable hotel close to city center. Room was good and clean. It has not ramp for disabled persons, a few stairs to get in .Staff a bit unfriendly. But at the end of the day was good.

I stayed at the Universal for 11 nights. My room was clean, the sheets and blankets as good as new, and attended to every day. It was quiet with no traffic noise and the occasional sounds from other rooms stopped at a reasonable hour. The staff were all friendly, helpful and simpatico. The hotel is in an excellent location about 8 minutes walk to the Cathedral the heart of historic Murcia. The Universal is completely unpretentious, great value for money and I will definitely return.

Really poor

I always try to be positive, but, this was one of the poorest hotels we have stayed at. As we approached the hotel we thought it was shut as it was so dimly lit. The receptionist wasn't positive or welcoming, reflecting the ambience in the foyer. The bedroom was very small room and an even smaller bathroom. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. We could hear everything from the next rooms..... everything! As people came in through the night their movements and chatter resonated through our room. The bedding smelled stale and the room had the odour of smoking. There was a total of one electrical socket for two people by the beds, but no electrical socket by the desk and chair. The TV was so small it was virtually impossible to see from being in bed. The one positive - the shower was warm. If we could have left for another hotel after checking in, we would have. In light of our experience we chose not to have breakfast, in preference using one of the cafeterias in the vicinity.

I spent here a couple of nights. The property is very clean, simple but with all things you may need. In a very good position, few minutes walking from the cathedral. The staff is friendly, kind and ready to help: shout out for the receptionist who made my check-in and check-out (Jose if I'm not wrong) who's been always super kind, cheerful Ang happy to help and give good advice. Thanks. Highly recommend.
