"We received a lovely welcome when we checked in and we were upgraded to a larger room with a waterside view. The hotel is perfectly located for the Bristol Sounds events and provides easy access to a wide range of food and drink options. We booked for bed and breakfast and we are glad we did, the buffet breakfast offered a selection of hot and cold choices and the breakfast room is delightful."

"Having paid for a reservation several months ago for two nights 24-26th June when I checked in I was told there was no room available. The receptionist claimed there was an IT issue but the hotel was very busy so clearly other people had been checked in. The apology was absolutely minimal, no compensation and no effort made to inform me in the days leading up to the reservation there was an issue. I found the whole experience highly unacceptable for a global corporation to behave letting me down...

"Lovely hotel. Check in was excellent, very fast, friendly and efficient. Even had gluten free cookies on arrival. Room was immaculate, great bed, air con, shower, coffee machine and tea making facilities. In an excellent location for Temple Meads and harbourside. Absolutely A1 experience."

It was an excellent choice for that, although there is some road construction going on directly around it which made rolling one’s bag a little more difficult than it would normally be. But your front door opens onto a common area, where three German hipsters were making dinner in the kitchenette, playing pool and watching TV loudly all night. There’s no soundproofing, so be prepared for a roommates vibe. Digital check-in. Not a single staff member on site. I needed help with my room. I texted and called for four hours. "Central location close to the Beacon, markets, restaurants and other food outlets, and pubs. Enclosed yard with tables and seating. Soft but comfortable bed. Quite tight bedroom and bathroom but OK. Great breakfast options. Just a little noisy into the early hours but England had just won at football!"
