"We stayed in the Lavender suite, which was a large room with high ceilings and the view from the windows was beautiful. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was good. There was no kettle in the room but there is a kitchen where we were able to make a cuppa and we had a fridge for water etc. The property is right next to the main anfiteatro but the room was quiet. We woke to birds tweeting in the morning. Oh, and there is a very cute, snoring dog!"

"The villa itself is stunning, lovely pool area and grounds and staff really great, friendly and helpful. The apartment we stayed in was okay - we knew it was in the basement of the villa, but it was very dark. We had booked it as it came with a kitchen and perhaps an oversight on our part but there was no oven, the fridge was tiny and a real lack of cooking utensils, it was very basic and meant we did not really cook while staying despite having wanted to.
