"Solid hotel on a budget. The staff were all friendly and very helpful, the lobby and bathrooms were clean and the rooftop pool was well kept. The hotel is older and shows its age and our room had an old, musty type smell to it, but it was clean and housekeeping stopped by every 3 days and took care of us. The location for this hotel is incredible, minutes from the beach, shopping, restaurants and bars. The morning breakfast was ok but not bad for free, and the welcome drinks were.... Welcomed! Overall a great stay for 7 days and I would definitely recommend the President if you're on a budget."

"Swimming pool was adults only. Which is not in the advertisement. Hotel fees $36 per day. Beach chairs for the hotel are 5 blocks north. 20mins walk. Some staff is good. Some don't care. We stayed here total of a week so I got a good sample of what's its like. Saw 2 different rooms before and after cruise and our other room has a broken safe. All and all could be worst but it can also be better. "

"Room was a nightmare. Dirty and I had to fix the shower head at 3 am. Shower leaked everywhere . This is not a hotel , it should be a rent a room. Dirty shower, carpet nasty and elevator scary. Stairs was the safest"
