"石上神宮参拝に朝いちばんに　行きたかったので 「やまべ」さんに泊まらせていただきました。 素泊まりでしたので　多くは望まなかったし お値段がとてもリーズナブルだったので　それなりだと 思います。 おばちゃんが　親切でお話するのが楽しかったです。 また　自転車を無料で借りられたので　石上神宮まで行くのがショートカットできてありがたかったです。 でないと　けっこう歩くことになるので．．． また　天理に行くときには　お願いすると思います。"

"My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. "We had a lovely time here! We were travelling by public transport, and this spot is a little of out of the way, but they sent a shuttle to the train station and it was easy to arrive. It was not clear from their website that the restaurant would not be open for dinner, and the closest restaurant by foot (other than McDonald's) was a 30 minute walk away. That was no problem; we had a nice walk, a great dinner, and really loved the onsen!"

The facilities may be a bit dated compared to big brands, but the staff, the food, view and the serene surroundings more than make up the fancy gadgets that might not be available.
