Props to the staff-they were very courteous and professional...unfortunately, there wasn't enough of them (severely understaffed)-had a 45 min wait to check-in because the front desk clerk had to finish cleaning rooms...again, NOT a criticism of the staff, but management NEEDS to hire more people!

The room that we had reserved, a single King Bed was not available because they were "overbooked" and thus we were given Queen bed. The room was dirty with an oily stain on the bed head board that I washed off with soap and water. The hallways had a dank and musty smell. Walls were dirty and in need of cleaning and or painting.

The property was ok and reasonably priced. The set-up of the 1-bedroom suite we stayed in was not ideal. The sofa beds were very uncomfortable, with very poor quality support and mattresses. The bathroom vanity, toilet, and shower were all in one room, which is an inefficient set-up (it's better if the vanity is outside the toilet/shower space). Items and debris were found inside the sofa beds. No bedding was provided for the sofa beds - had to ask for it. We also had to ask for extra towels - party of 3 but only 2 towels provided. We only got room service on 1 of the 3 nights we were staying. Things were in decent, but not great, condition overall. The staff was helpful when asked and check-in and out went smoothly. The property is tight on parking if they are busy. Free breakfast would have gone a long way to please us, but only paid options were available. We found the place serviceable overall, lacking in particular ways, but convenient to the area we wished to stay in. The warm cookies at check-in were nice. Will consider staying again, but will also look at other options in this area.

The pool had not been decertified so was not open. The room was barely cleaned from day to day and the rug was sticky, especially in a spot beneath the desk where shoes stuck to the carpet- gross!

The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean but not equipped with trash bags in the bins. The mattress was also hard and difficult to sleep comfortably on but I'm sure that is a matter of preference

There was no shower gel in the shower container. Only 1 bar of soap, usually when i go places it 2 bar of soap. The bathroom floor seem like it wasn't mop. The ac went out but they did come fix it like in a few minutes of us calling the front desk. When somebody shut thier doors you could hear in the room, that's was very loud. This supposed be like a 5 star hotel was not a 5 star, it was 3 stars for me.

First of all, when I booked on Expedia, my reservation was with the Hampton Inn on North Druid Hills in Atlanta, GA. Expedia called me to let me know that this hotel was closing permanently and they would rebook me at the DoubleTree nearby. When I called the DoubleTree to confirm that a reservation was made, it was not. I had to call Expedia again and then a reservation was made on 4/3 and I had to pay in full at that time. It was lucky of me to call to confirm or I may not have had a reservation when I went to check in. Upon arrival at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Atlanta North Druid Hills, there were several power outages that prevented us from checking in. The staff was helpful and escorted us to a room with manual check in. However, we had to use the elevator and was fearful that would fail with another power outage. Now, the staff had to deliver keys later when they could access the key reader. The power outages continued at least 5x before 10:30 pm. It went out twice when I was in the shower. My husband could not access work on his computer either. As we tried to sleep, we heard constant road noise from I-85. Room 707 was also located near the elevator and there was repeated sounds of a door opening and closing all night long which may have been the elevator??? In the morning, when we opened the drapes, we discovered that the window was not closed all the way and was stuck. It could not be moved. This explains the road noise and the cold we felt in the room as it was

The place was dirty as well as there was nowhere to park I had to park all the way in the back of the building which I am a woman and that was so Unsafe. As well as the bathtub kept clogging up I had no towels when I came when they did give me towels they gave me for little bitty towels because they didn’t have big towels the hot water was cold the heat wasn’t working it was just a terrible terrible experience for two days the women worked there was at the counter don’t go back there especially if they’re gonna be rude like that in the place was a mess

Facility was clean and in an area very close to the highway (very convenient). There was abundant nearby shopping and dining (driving not walking). Staff were very considerate and responsive to requests. I will stay here again. The only constructive feedback is the staffing was a little low so there wasn't always someone at the desk.

The property is dirty and dangerous. The staff is incompetent and rude. The elevators are a death trap. The staff is aware of the issues and still allow their guest to use unsafe elevators.

I am grateful for the staff that responded immediately but I was concerned that I had to call someone to fix the toilet. My mother had to use the bathroom in the lobby out of fear of the toilet over flowing.

Pros: Very nice & clean facility. Staff was very nice and helpful. Cons: Our room was in the back. Noicy from the highway traffic, will choose a room in the front the next time. Doubletree is known for it's cookies. We checked out at 10:00am. No cookies available to go, sad about that.

The air conditioning didn’t work. The staff fixed it, but it was an issue. Please for god sake, disable the motion detection on your thermostats!! It makes sleeping difficult when the air conditioning turns off while you are sleeping!!!
